Left & Found: Proof of Concept
This page shows a preliminary trial of the project methodology. Objects have already been placed in public locations to test discovery, handling and participant response.

Left and Found: A journey of small things is a distributed participatory artwork in which small objects move between strangers through accidental encounters in everyday public spaces. Each object invites a personal decision to keep, gift or release it again, allowing the artwork to continue through human interaction.
Object message tag:
The message avoids instruction and allows multiple forms of participation, including keeping, gifting, carrying or releasing the object again. Wording is being refined through early placements to ensure it invites participation without directing behaviour.

Object Placement:
Objects are placed in publicly accessible locations where they do not obstruct use of the space and can be naturally discovered rather than presented as an event.

Example ceramic object.
Forms are small and palm-sized, designed to be held, carried and easily re-released into public space. Motifs vary but remain simple and symbolic so the encounter focuses on the act of discovery rather than the value of the object.

The project relies on voluntary participation. The map records only those movements participants choose to share.
